The conference aims at producing cutting edge and ground breaking researches on the impacts of globalization on women labor and more importantly their responses to globalization. It also aims at developing common understanding of how globalization policies impact on women's lives with an end to share policy proposals and advocacy on women labor issues. Through sharing of survey literatures from which to identify research gaps and new areas of research, research design and process are expected to be agreed and developed. Representatives of organizations of women workers, supporters or advocates of women workers as well as those that have done researches on women labor shall attend the conference. Asian organizations like the Asia-Pacific Mission for Migrants, Society for Rural Education and Development, Pakistan Institute for Labor Education and Research, Pesticides Action Network-Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) will join the conference. The Asia-Pacific Research Network (APRN) supports this coordinated research project with Ibon Foundation and Center for Women's Resources (CWR) both based in the Philippines as lead agencies. The conference is open to non-APRN members but whose work are mainly aligned on women workers research.
